Our project tests innovative approaches to education and training across 10 pilot sites in 7 European countries, exploring what works to strengthen innovation capacity, foster cooperation and mutual learning, and support meaningful stakeholder engagement — turning the lessons learned into practical solutions for education providers, practitioners and policymakers driving reform and systemic change across Europe.

What DC4Democracy is doing
Assessing digital democratic skills in real classrooms, then proving what should scale.
While digital democracy initiatives are growing, evidence-based tools to assess and track civic competences remain scarce. DC4Democracy runs full-scale pilots across schools and VET institutions in five education settings, engaging over 1,600 learners and 60 educators to measure online deliberation skills against real-world challenges — then feeds the results directly into EU and national education policy.
